The original kiln name was Tanzakuya. The given name of the first master was Hitizaemon, but the name Tanzakuya came from Tanzaku-rou, a teahouse located just in front of the main gate of the Yasaka Shrine, where Hitizaemon was the proprietor.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"p1\"\u003eIn 1918, Admiral Heihachirou Togo visited the kiln and during his visit penned the characters for “Waraku.” \u003cspan class=\"s1\"\u003e\u003ci\u003eWa\u003c\/i\u003e\u003c\/span\u003e refers to harmony, \u003cspan class=\"s1\"\u003e\u003ci\u003eraku\u003c\/i\u003e\u003c\/span\u003e refers to joy.
