Ceramic Stacking Cairn Container with a Lid

Meet the Ceramic Container with a Lid, in the style of a stacking cairn. It is wheel thrown by Ceramist Katherine Moes based in Kansas City, Missouri, USA. It is unglazed on the outside and has a glazed interior. It is a special little container to hold your rings, coins, or incense cones.

Carved on the bottom of the container is "Katherine's Moes Co."

It is fired in a reduction kiln, and thus finish can vary slightly from warmer to cooler tones.

Kindly note, any imperfections on the surface of the piece is to be considered natural result of the firing process.
Also the hole on the bottom of the lid, as seen on the last photo, was intentionally created prior to firing. It allows trapped moisture to escape during firing, preventing it from building up pressure and causing an explosion in the kiln
