Japanese Black Glazed "Figaki" Ceramic Smudging Bowl

Meet our Japanese Black Glazed "Figaki" Ceramic Smudging Bowl, handcrafted by a craftman in Okinawa. The black glaze is applied with a unique technique called "Figaki" in which the foot is held upward and the glaze is hung by swinging the bowl, thus the splashy, dripping glaze marks. This shallow bowl would work nicely a centerpiece or as a smudging bowl for incense bundles but is food-safe as well.
