Daiyo is a well-known Japanese candle company from Shiga Prefecture, founded in 1914, that specializes in traditional, hand-crafted candles made from 100% natural plant wax, such as rice bran. The company maintains traditional techniques for candle making, including rolling wicks with washi paper, rush weeds, and silk fibers, a craft passed down through four generations of artisans. Daiyo's candles are known for their stable, clean burn, less soot, and connection to nature and human relationships.
