Japanese Kohiki Mino-Yaki Chawan

Meet our Japanese Kohiki MIno-Yaki Chawan , handcrafted by ceramist Kudo Kou who works for the family business, Minamigama. Located in the eastern part of Toki City, Gifu prefecture, in the mountain town of Dachi, Minamigama is a major production center of Mino ware (美濃焼; Mino-yaki). 

Kudo was born in Dachi, Toki-City, Gifu Prefecture in 1966 and graduated from the Tajimi City Ceramic Design Insitute in 1991. At Minamigama, he studied under his father Rikuo Kudo. He is certified as a traditional Mino ware craftsman in 2005.
