Meet our Japanese Mino-ware Ceramic Mini Mortar, Black, handcrafted in Toki City, Gifu Prefecture, the production center of Mino-ware. The workshop was founded in 1908 and is Japan's largest producer of mortars with its proud history of handmade workmanship. This is a high quality mortar that shows the work of handcraftsmanship. The grindings are hand-applied one by one by craftsmen. The mini mortar is perfect for griding sesame seeds, sauce or dressing. The pestle is available for purchase separately.
