Meet Japanese Shigaraki Ido-nari 井戸形 Matcha Bowl, handcrafted in Shiga Prefecture in Japan. Located in Koka City, Shiga Prefecture, Shigaraki is one of Japan's six old kilns, with a history that goes back 1260 years. In 1976, Shigaraki-yaki (Shigaraki ware) was designated as a traditional craft in Japan.
Ido-nari 井戸形 is a type of Goryeo tea bowl that was introduced from the Korean Peninsula. It has a high foot and widens toward the rim. The shape makes it easy to make tea. It has long been known as a high-ranking tea bowl among tea masters.
