Japanese White Crystalline Glaze Mini Plate
A beautiful Japanese ceramic mini plate by Touan Kiln (陶あん), renowned for its exquisite Kyo-yaki and Kiyomizu-yaki pottery from Kyoto, Japan. Founded in 1922, Touan is celebrated for its distinctive craftsmanship and innovative glazes.
This delicate plate features the kiln’s signature Hana-Kessho (花結晶), or “Flower Crystal,” glaze, in a soft, luminous white. Each piece develops its own unique crystalline design, making every plate a one-of-a-kind creation.
With its gently rounded silhouette, glossy finish, and subtle interplay of white-on-white textures, this petite dish embodies the understated elegance of Japanese ceramics. Its refined appearance makes it ideal for serving small sweets, chocolates, or delicate accompaniments, as well as displaying jewelry or other treasured little objects.
A lovely example of traditional Kyoto ceramic artistry, this miniature plate brings a quiet sense of beauty and craftsmanship to everyday living.
The natural variations in the crystalline glaze are part of its charm, reflecting the unique results of the firing process.
