Korean Baekja White Porcelain Tea Pot

Meet the Korean Baekja Ceramic Tea Pot, wheel thrown and handcrafted in Korea by ceramist Kiyong Park. The teapot has an internal straining holes for bigger tea leaves.

You may notice a few black speckles that are a natural result of iron in the clay, which adds a character to the tea pot. Pairs well with Korean Baekja Porcelain Tea Cups and Korean Baekja Porcelain Spouted Bowl available for purchase here: 

Made of porcelain, the tea pot has a faint bluish tint, particularly when viewed in certain lighting conditions. This is a result of the glaze composition, which contains trace amounts of iron that impart a subtle blue color when fired.
