Meet the Korean Black-Glazed Mini Teacup Saucer/Round Plate, handcrafted by ceramist Hunseong Jang in Icheon, South Korea.
Icheon ceramics have a history spanning at least a thousand years, evolving from supplying the Joseon Dynasty's royal palaces to forming a "ceramic village" that has naturally drawn potters from all over the country.
Defined by its rough, unrefined surface and expressive glaze, the piece reveals the natural flow and movement of the glaze, with gentle undulations across the surface and softly irregular edges. Areas of thinner glaze and a deliberately raw finish are left intact, embracing the beauty of variation rather than uniformity.
Well suited as a teacup saucer or for serving cookies and small bites, its organic texture brings a calm, grounded presence to the table.
Due to the handmade nature, each piece will differ slightly in terms of the shape, texture, color and glazing effect.

About Hunseong Jang: Hun Seong Jang is based in Icheon, South Korea where he owns his own ceramic studio. He studied Korean and Japanese ceramics for many years in search of Korean-ness. He specializes in making Korean buncheong ware.
