Korean Buncheong Lidded Medicine Case
Meet the Korean Buncheong Lidded Medicine Case, wheel-thrown and handcrafted by ceramist Seungki Min in Korea. It is a beautifully clever way of storing your medicine pills or use it as a throw it all case but doubles as a decorative piece. There is potter's mark on the lower bottom of the case. "약" hand-painted in Blue underglaze in Korean means "Medicine".
This medicine case was fired in a kiln after being brushed with white clay, which is one of the characteristic decorative feature of buncheong ware called "귀얄기법" ("guiyal" technique).
There is ceramist's hallmark on the lower bottom of the jar.
