Korean Wood-Fired Ash-Glazed with Sanggam Inlaid Bird Patterns
Meet the Korean Wood-Fired Ash-Glazed with Sanggam Inlaid Bird Patterns in dark brown, handcrafted and fired in a traditional wood-firing kiln by Kimo An of Tousanyo in Gimhae, Korea.
The teapot features a richly textured body in deep brown tones, accented by Sanggam inlay technique where contrasting clay is embedded into carved bird patterns. Ash splattering from the wood firing adds depth and character to the form, while the warmth and presence achieved through this process bring a grounded, tactile quality to the tea ritual.
The potter’s mark is hand-carved on the underside.
Dimensions: W 10cm (including the handle & spout) x H 7cm; 80cc
