Korean Wood-Fired Porcelain Dotted Gaiwan Teapot & Saucer Set
Meet the Korean wood-fired porcelain dotted gaiwan, wheel-thrown by Kimo An of Tousanyo and fired in a traditional wood-firing climbing kiln in Gimhae, South Korea.
Scattered iron-rich markings and natural ash deposits punctuate the warm white porcelain, while minute, delicate crazing lends subtle depth to the surface. Together, these traces of clay, ash, and fire give the gaiwan a rich, weighty character that contrasts beautifully with its refined, elegant form.
Handcrafted and wood-fired in Gimhae, South Korea.
