Korean Wood-fired Stoneware Mosaic Tray
A wood-fired ceramic piece by Kimo An of Tousanyo, made from three different clays brought together in an irregular, patchwork-like composition. Each clay carries its own color and character, creating natural fields of cream, ochre, rust, and deep brown across the surface.
Through wood firing, the three clay bodies develop further variation in tone, speckling, and texture, giving the piece a layered, almost geological quality. The simple square form allows the contrast between the clays and the effects of the firing to remain the focus, making every piece distinctly one of a kind.
A felt footing on the underside helps protect tabletops and other surfaces from scratching while allowing the piece to rest securely in place.
We love it as a tray for tea ware.
