Tea Ware Gift Set

Regular price $160.00 USD

A quietly beautiful tea set bringing together contemporary Korean ceramics and traditional Japanese craft.

At its center is Kiyong Park’s Korean Baekja gaiwan with matching saucer, an elegant interpretation of Korea’s white porcelain tradition. Its restrained form and luminous white glaze give the piece a calm, timeless presence, while the covered gaiwan is equally suited to the contemplative preparation and serving of tea.

Accompanying it is a wood-fired Baekja cup by Kimo An. The firing process gives the porcelain a subtle individuality—soft variations in surface and tone that carry traces of flame, ash, and the atmosphere of the kiln. Paired with the clarity of Park’s Baekja, it creates a lovely conversation between two distinct approaches to contemporary Korean ceramics.

The pieces are presented together in a lidded Japanese hand-woven bamboo basket, whose warm natural fibers provide a tactile counterpoint to the cool porcelain. The basket transforms the individual works into a complete gift set while remaining a beautiful and useful object in its own right.

Together, the set celebrates material, craftsmanship, and the quiet ritual of tea—white porcelain, wood fire, and handwoven fiber brought into a simple, intimate composition. Each element bears the character of its maker and making, making the set as meaningful to live with as it is to give.
